About this project

Harman Kardon is an established hi-tech audio-brand, known for they elegant designs and high quality audio systems. Visit any Apple Store and you will come across one of their products.

In November 2014 Harman Kardon launched the Omni, a wireless HD audio speaker that has multi-room capabilities. So we were approached by them to develop an online activation that created awareness around this new product while promoting all of its different capabilities.

We wanted our users to experience the benefits of the Omni instead of telling them what they were, while having fun! So we created a fully responsive, mobile-ready game / audio experience, where the users had to listen to a song from “The Other Room”. Using next level filters to make the sounds change from room to room, the user had to guess the name or artist, and based on the time it took them they where awarded a certain amount of points. Which we then used to create competition in our social channels and between them and their friends using Facebook Login.

We created a fun game that not only showed all the benefits & capabilities, but also created a strong engagement within our users, making them want to play the game several times while spending time with the brand and the product.

This campaign was solely promoted through content and advertising on Facebook, on 3 different countries: Netherlands, Germany and France. During the campaign we reached 2.6 million audio and music lovers. 17,027 clicks from Facebook to the microsite with an average cost-per-visitor of 38 eurocent.
